Tools for co-operating hotels

The hotel cooperations “Matterhorn Valley Hotels”, “die Lötschentaler” and “Swiss Alpine Hotels” use their own practical knowledge, experience from cooperation projects and the results of applied research to systematically strengthen the operational competitiveness of their member hotels.

In this innovative project, implementation-orientated cooperation and management tools are applied to the three hotel cooperations and combined with a monitoring tool. By monitoring activities and their impact on the cooperation and the individual businesses, the concrete added value of the cooperation instrument can be demonstrated for the first time. The toolbox can be adapted to existing and new cooperations.

The project is organised by the two regional associations HotellerieSuisse Valais-Wallis and HotellerieSuisse Bernese Oberland. The federal government is supporting the project as part of the Innotour – Innovation Promotion in Tourism programme. The project is being supported by conim AG, Zurich, in collaboration with CRED-T (Centre for Regional Economic Development – Tourism) at the University of Bern and the umbrella organisation HotellerieSuisse. The project runs until May 2026.
