Vera Nüesch Keiser

Vera Nüesch Keiser was born in Basel. She graduated from the Zurich School for Translation and Interpretation (DOZ) and was awarded the Swiss Federal Diploma of Translation. During an extended stay in France, she also earned the Diplôme Spécial d’Etudes Françaises from the Paul Valérie University in Montpellier.

Following her studies, she worked for several years as an in-house translator at two prestigious retail-trading firms in Switzerland, where she was also jointly responsible for the terminology database. Later she accompanied her husband on a job-related visit to the USA, where she acquired an advanced knowledge of the English language (TOEFL/Certificate in Advanced English).

Back in Europe, she continued with her training as a language teacher. She also worked in adult education, as a freelance translator and headed the administration of a SME. A second period abroad followed, this time in Egypt, where she spent several years with her husband and their two children.

On her return to Switzerland, Vera Nüesch Keiser completed a continuing education course in management at the Swiss Institute for Business Administration (SIB) in Zurich. Since September 2010, she has worked part-time at conim ag in the administrative and organization department and keeps the company’s homepage up to date.
