Franco Jenal was born and raised in Untervaz in the canton of Grisons. He studied business administration at the University of St. Gallen (HSG), specialising in small and medium-sized enterprises.

He started his professional career at the Graubünden Economic Forum, a then newly established foundation for the promotion of the Graubünden economy. The preparation of various sector studies as well as individual and inter-company concepts provided Franco Jenal with in-depth knowledge of the economic structure of and a large network in the canton of Grisons.

Starting in 2001, a thirteen-year phase in the machine tool industry followed. As commercial manager at the three TRUMPF plants in Grüsch (canton of Grisons), he was responsible for the areas of finance and human resources, among other things. At the same time he was allowed to establish the INNOZET foundation for the promotion of technology-oriented start-ups. The time at TRUMPF also includes a three-year stay as CFO at TRUMPF in Schramberg in the Black Forest region (D). This period was defined by the global financial crisis with its enormous challenges for a globally active industrial company.

In 2014, Franco Jenal took the opportunity to participate in the development of an online business for regional Swiss foods and to gain start-up experience. The fascination of establishing something in a promising market but also the challenges and difficulties involved was something he learned at the forefront. The merger with two other companies and the expansion of the business areas by stationary trade and gastronomy added further experiences in an intriguing as well as challenging industry.

Franco Jenal has served at conim as project manager since August 2020 and is Partner since the beginning of 2023.
